ABOUT THE ACADEMY
Carpenter Music Academy’s mission is to provide exceptional in-home and online music lessons that are personalized, convenient, and inspiring for students of all ages. We believe music is ageless, and everyone should have the opportunity to learn and pursue music. Our teaching style is flexible. We aim to teach to the student’s individual goals. One student may want to learn classical piano, one may want 90s rock, and another may want to make a Hip Hop beat. The core of Carpenter Music Academy is to always cater to the student. Our commitment is to make high quality music education accessible.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Michael Carpenter Jr.
Michael Carpenter Jr. is the founder of Carpenter Music Academy and a professional musician with over 30 years of playing experience, and more than two decades of teaching experience. Raised in Detroit, the birthplace of Motown, he began playing guitar at age eight and was performing professionally by age 20. Over the years he has studied multiple instruments and performed jazz, blues, rock, flamenco (and more!) all over the world.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2014, Michael built a thriving teaching career by helping students of all ages and levels discover confidence and enjoyment through music.
